Last weekend was one of those I feel like I will remember for a while. There wasn't anything super special or fantastic to anyone looking in, but for me it was many moments of refreshment to the soul. Friday was an evening with friends at the Outlet where we talked, played games, told stories, and built different sculptures with Jenga blocks. Saturday night was spent with Meg and Josh. I made us stir fry. Then Danielle came home and we busted out a new game called Coaster toss. After awhile Jay came over, joined us for a round of coaster toss and then we played "what's yours like".
Now if you've never played this it's about time you get to it, but if you have then you'll understand how awesome it is. Basically it's a game where you get a noun, and one person has to guess what the noun is based on the clues given.
For example:
my word to guess: Disposal
Clues:
Some people put things in mine that they shouldn't
Mine is round
Mine is sticky
Jay's word to guess: ceiling
Clues:
I have trouble reaching mine
mine's leaky
My old one used to be bumpy, my new one is smooth
Danielle's word to guess: Soap
Clues:
I keep mine on a rope
Sometimes mine has hair on it
I put mine all over my body
You get the picture! It was pretty awesome. Sunday finished off with some Vietnamese food with Stephen, Ryan, Adam, John, Jay and Danielle. Went to a party for a couple of guys from my church, where we had pizza and cake and a major balloon fight. My weekend ended with a great time with old friends and new friends sharing life and God. I have realized how much of a quality time person I am. Thank you all for a great weekend!
